THERE IS NO NEED TO RAISE THE DUES.....A $60 EXPENSE INCREASE DOES NOT JUSTIFY A $680 DUES INCREASE...WHAT WOULD WE USE IT FOR. WE HAVE PLENTY OF PRIZE MONEY NOW, AND IF WE ADD IT TO THE PARTY FUND THAT WOULD BE COMPLETLY UNFAIR......SO WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ALL THIS PROPOSED MONEY IS FOR.

Nothing I say will ever change your mind and I’m okay with that. I’d attempt to post the facts correctly it really will make your story more credible.

THERE SHOULD BE AN OTION TO OPT OUT OF THIS BULL**** PARTY AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK. WHY DO WE EVEN HAVE A PARTY FUND WE NEVER USED TOO DO THIS....A THOUSAND DOLLAR PARTY IS INSANE AND I WANT NO PART OF IT AND I AM NOT ALONE. WHY SHOULD SOME MEMBERS BE FORCED TO PAY FOR SOME CRAZY PARTY IF THEY DON'T WANT IT. THIS IS NOT THE LEAGUE I JOINED.

I do not understand the opinion that believes the teams on the bottom end up paying more for the year end party than the teams at the top. For the past seven years, everyone knows, before the season starts, that 5 credits per week of everyone's dues will be set aside for the party. That comes to 85 credits, per team, per year. The party fund and the prize fund are totally separate. That, was decided at the last dues increase. None of the prize credits are ever used for the party and vice versa. Therefore, everyone pays an equal amount (85) to fund the party. The disparity is only in the distribution of the prize credits. It should be that way. In what league, game, or business do the ones who do the best not get the most reward? 98% of all leagues do not pay any prize money to teams that finish below 3rd place. In the first few years of the SEL, the only expense we had was the cost of a plaque and having a name plate put on the trophy. There was no internet cost, only one plaque per year, no reimbursement for expenses, and we only paid out 1st through 3rd place. The winners, back then, collected much more than they do now. Now, everybody gets a piece of the pie. If the concern is that the percentages should be reworked, then I am willing and ready to listen to all ideas, but if anyone is saying that the teams at the bottom pay more for the party than the teams at the top, I strongly, but politely, disagree.

Five or more people want a nice party to answer the War Dogs post #49. That's why. However, I'm not sold on this limo idea. I guarantee you I'm brainstorming other ideas to go out together. You ought to also. To do away with the party is ludicrous. Outside of the draft, it's my favorite day of the year.

To echo the War Dogs post #45, I also want to know EXACTLY where the extra 680 credits is going since I'm all for raising the dues. At the same time, I have no intention of blindly voting for it. Show us the spread. Also, I don't plan on figuring out the spread either that I'm aware of.

For those interested in how the current year-end fund is determined or calculated please allow me to explain.
The current year-end party fund is indeed 680.00. This fixed fee is 85.00 dollars per player per year.
Or another way of saying the same thing is The party dues are 5 per week per player.
