You don't like the basic principles of the league. If the majority says we want a nice party, then the minority should go along. If the majority says this is what we're doing, the minority should go along. Majority rule!! That's just my view , but it's only 1/8.

Your thinking is overly simplistic on the year-end party issue.
"If the majority says we want a nice party, then the minority should go along. "
The problem I have with that statement is you cannot define "nice party" . Each of us have a different impression of what is "nice". Their is no majority on what the year-end should be. We have 8 ideas each getting a vote. The winner will be whoever bitches the most. Its not the majority that will rule the year end it will be who wants to force their will the most.
Your majority rules philosophy is fine when dealing with a two sided issue ( performance or touchdown only) or (expansion or remain the same). The year-end issue is considerable more complicated.
Frankly I think the idea of optioning out of a year-end gathering has merit.

Optioning out!! I guess you've changed your mind on a dues raise.

Optioning out!! I guess you've changed your mind on a dues raise. Not in the least. I think a dues increase is warranted. I also think passing should be viable option.

thanks for looking uhlans and being realistic in your thoughts i think it has a lot of merit and if rough draft isnt good enough it does have a lot of potential to work it out im sorry if this wasnt someone else is idea but try to be open minded dictators

We have had at least one person more than once not want to attend/participate in the the year - end function. Why not give them an avenue out? It's not what I would prefer or think is in the best interest of the league as a whole but should we deny someone that choice?

Unbelievable!! This feels like Pandora's Box. Before you know it, we won't have a party, gathering, or anything. Without a party, NOOOOOO to the dues raise.

nobody is saying no party. As lennon would say give peace a chance. my point is some dont like it so instead of fluffing some feathers of supposed friends that take there income situations differently and are hard headed use this way of keeping the peace instead of bringing change that could even hurt one person in this league if it is about friends we might be a minority but at least one even if some peeps easter humor again thinks they or thems can be buttheads they are still some of the foundation of the league think would you like to be forced out of a league you have been playing in 18 to 20 yrs dont think so p.s im getting a little faster at typing
