This league management tool has many options regarding roster deadlines.
On the one side: Can we keep it at Thursday same as always absolutely yes. No problems.
On the extreme other side: We can offer lineup changes clear into Monday. The software will automatically disallows any moves of a game after it has began.
The discussions regarding lineup deadlines should now focus on IF we want them as opposed to CAN we do them.

Since the computer will be tracking points for us, it appears that a dealine is unnecessary. It also appears that without a deadline, others will constantly besecond-guessing their lineups. Also, if you're trying to keep track on your own sheet, it could drive you crazy. Will the Commish and Asst Commish still collaborate to validate scoring or is it even necessary?

The duties of league officers might need to be changed.

Nothing from the Red Tide or Bulls on this issue? Amazing.....

The status quo has changed. I feel that some owners are taking the "ostrich's head in the sand" approach and then argue everything at the rules meeting.

Is the option to change afterwards available?

To repeat my March 5th post, since we have an 8PM Thursday night deadline, can we make changes after that? For example, if someone is injured Friday, can we replace him as long as the three position players are available? Could RTS do this automatically?
The argument before was that nobody wanted to sit around all weekend waiting for lineups. Since that is NO LONGER an issue, let's be pro-active and allow changes anytime and for whatever reason. If that's too much lineup leeway for some owners, let's allow it only for injury.
Lineup point potential will be maxed out as long as you don't have two players off that week at a position.
WHAT SAY THE MASSES?

Tigers, don't expect to hear much from "the masses" before the rules meeting. I'm sure everyone has an opinion on this issue and it will be discussed at length once we are all together.
Personally, I think that not taking advantage of the opportunity to expand our deadline would be a mistake. That doesn't prevent a line up from being turned in on Thursday, but allows others who choose to turn their's in later, to do so.
